For All Mankind
With actors suspended on wire through a hole in the ceiling, I digitally re-created part of the interior of the Sojourner Spacecraft for the show For All Mankind while on the team at Big Lazy Panda VFX.
Using on set-photography as a reference, and photogrammetry of the real props for the show for scale, I modeled, shaded, lit, and composited the final shots that are seen.
This was a great exercise in utilizing reference, and keeping to the pre-established design of the interior set.
The Suit-Room
I modeled all of the fixtures and panels to match other shots where the ceiling wasn’t removed.
I created texture atlases from the on-set photos to get the detail for stickers, fans, and greebles. The painted metal with scratches was created procedurally using Blender’s shader editor.
